Thesis & Dissertation Format Guidelines

Submission deadline: The formatting check for the submission process may take up to several weeks to complete. Students should allot sufficient time--2 weeks minimum--to complete the library requirement. For doctoral dissertations, the deadline is before the add/drop date of the next semester (omitting summer semester). For master’s theses, the deadline is the last day of the month of the semester. Beyond these deadlines, please inquire with your department chair.

Students should note that citation styles and organizational practices may have changed and thus should avoid using past work as a template. Follow the guidelines and the template documents in the appendix.
