📌 Los Angeles County Public Library Individual registration required.

Those currently living in the LA county jurisdiction can apply for an instant e-card to access ebooks, streaming TV and movies, and downloadable music. Also includes free access to online learning programs such as LinkedIn Learning. 

Any resident of California can apply for a physical card which includes all the privileges of the e-card along with the ability to borrow physical books, DVDs and free state park passes. Free passes to local museums are also available to library card holders within the library jurisdiction.

California African American Museum

California Science Center

2023 is the last year to see the space shuttle Endeavour until its permanent home is ready. Free admission, parking $15 (as of 2023).

Getty Center

"A museum with something for everyone: art, modern design, unique gardens, and spectacular city views." Free admission with reservation, parking $20 (as of 2023).

Getty Villa

"A one-of-a-kind destination offering ancient Greek and Roman art, tranquil gardens, and ocean breezes." Free admission with reservation, parking $20 (as of 2023).

Japanese American National Museum

"The mission of the Japanese American National Museum is to promote understanding and appreciation of America’s ethnic and cultural diversity by sharing the Japanese American experience." Free every 3rd Thursday of the month, all other Thursdays free 5-8pm.

LACMA: Los Angeles County Museum of Art

The largest art museum in the western US. Free admission 2nd Tuesday of each month. Free weekdays after 3pm for LA county residents with ID. Parking $21 as of 2023.

Los Angeles Arboretum

A 127-acre botanical garden in the city of Arcadia. Free admission every 3rd Tuesday of each month with free ticket reservation starting 1st weekday of the month.

Museum of Latin American Art

"The only Museum in the United States fully dedicated to modern and contemporary Latin American and Latino art." Free admission on Sundays.

Natural History Museum

"We protect and share more than 35 million specimens and artifacts, the largest natural and cultural history collection in the western United States. But we also explore the nature and culture that surrounds us today, both in L.A. and the world." Free to LA county residents M-F 3-5pm, $15 parking (as of 2023)

Norton Simon Museum

European masterworks from the Renaissance to the 20th century; South and Southeast Asian art. Free admission for students with ID. Free admission for all on 1st Friday of the month 4-7pm.

Skirball Cultural Center

"...a place of meeting guided by the Jewish tradition of welcoming the stranger and inspired by the American democratic ideals of freedom and equality." Free Thursdays.

The Broad

A contemporary art museum at downtown LA, with the famous Infinity Mirrored Room. Free reserved ticket for admission to mirror room, parking $17/3 hrs.

The Huntington

Library, art museum, and botanical gardens. Free admission every 1st Thursday of each month with a reserved ticket. Free tickets can be reserved last Thursday of each month.

USC Pacific Asia Museum
